Exotic Saltwater Fish

It has been said that saltwater fish are hand painted by God. Ordinary saltwater fish are already especially beautiful and exotic saltwater fish are beyond comparison. Here are some of the magnificent exotic saltwater fish that you can purchase online or at your favorite local fish store.

Flame Angel fish is a marine angelfish and is considered as an exotic saltwater fish. It is usually found in the PacificDwarf Flame Angelfish Ocean’s tropical waters. It can grow up to 15 cm and characterized as a secretive type of fish that normally stays near its shelter. The color of a Flame Angel is bright orange-red, has 4 to 5 bars on its side and has a vertical stretched black blot. It usually feeds on algae like brown alga, sea lettuce and rockweeds.
If you do decide to get one be sure to keep an eye on them some have been know to nip at some corals. Even though some have kept them and never had this problem. This kind of exotic saltwater fish has been nurtured in confinement and they are commonly spread via the aquarium industry. During confinement, the Flame Angel eats food like saltwater shrimps and meaty foods that are frozen. As mentioned above this specie is quite secretive so you’ll notice that it’s withdrawn on its first few weeks in the aquarium. But after the initial shyness, Flame Angel will gain certainty and confidence after a few weeks and can demonstrate a sign of aggressiveness in territory.

Mystery WrasseAnother type of exotic saltwater fish is the glorious Mystery Wrasse. This exotic saltwater fish is also referred as the Whitebarred Wrasse. This fish is different from the other kind of wrasses because it has lean vertical white bars that turn slimmer as it grows. This is opposed to the usual horizontal lines that the wrasses are familiar for.
This exotic saltwater fish is low maintenance and although they are small, they’re still competent in acquiring food. They chow on bristle-worms, commensal flatworms and sometimes pyramidellid snails. Like the Flame Angel, this specie is also secretive and favors murky areas.
One more exotic saltwater fish is called the Clown Trigger. Clown Trigger is attractive and exceptional fish specie. This saltwater fish is even referred as the dog in the fish tank because of its versatility. Clown Trigger can be found in the Africa’s tropical shoreline. It can also originate in the regions of the Indo-Pacific and in the Red Sea.

A young Clown Trigger has small white spots all over its body and has a partial yellowish spot in its dorsal fin. An adultClown Trigger Clown Trigger, on the other hand, has a darker body color and has large white spots on its tummy. You can also catch sight of the black spots on a yellow background up top of its body. The young Clown Trigger, like the Mystery Wrasse, tends to be secretive and likes dark places. However, an adult Clown Trigger has habits of swimming in the open.
Owning an exotic saltwater fish can be fun and extremely pleasurable. If you want to have one, just make sure to understand the needs of the fish. And with the various mediums where you can study the characteristics of the fish that you want, you have to be ready to take a trip at your local aquarium shops.
